Takes decades to get an appointment with my doctor. I'm kind of just hoping it'll clear up, but if anyone has any clue?
This is classic case of 'jock itch'. There are anti-fungal sprays you can get at the pharmacy specifically for this. Lamisil and Tinactin both make creams, sprays and powders for this. They all work equally as well. However, keep in mind that this type of infection can take 2-3 weeks of treatment before completely healing. After the infection is gone make sure you keep the area dry. Gold Bond body powder or body spray is a great product that you can use every day after a shower or before work outs that can help keep that area dry.
See if you could get a MD to prescribe niastatin powder. Keep the area clean and dry and apply powder if it doesn't start resolving within a week it could be something else.If you can't get an appt with a MD go to a doc in the box and just tell them what it looks like. Most MD's or NP's have no problem prescribing Niastatin.
