I have numb toes

I'm a 17 year old male and my big toe on each foot is slightly numb, a bit more noticeable on my left. This has been going on for less than a week though I'm not sure.

I've heard that numbness is a symptom of type 2 diabetes but usually its obese/overweight adults and children. Speaking of which, I am not (<130 lbs and approx 165 cm in height). I am filipino and I do believe a couple (1 or 2) of my cousins have diabetes, though I'm not sure which type or if it was genetic.

I don't want to inform my parents just yet, at least until I'm sure.

EDIT: One thing to note, I am usually not very active but in the past week I have been walking around a lot due to a visit in california for comic-con, six flags, etc..

Probably just sore from walking. I went to Six Flags a month ago and was there all day, and when I left I was ready for my feet to fall off. Ask your doctor, if it continues to worry you.
