Need help finding a care home for my disabled mom

Hi Reddit, not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, but I need help, and I'm not sure where to ask, so here goes:

My mom is currently on SS disability as she suffers from bipolar with depression and hallucinations, as well as seizures. As a result she has never done well with money, has very bad credit, and now has a foreclosure on her record. She currently lives with me, since my family refuses to help take care of her, but it is becoming too much and it is now threatening my business that I run out of my home as her health declines. Additionally, she is very stubborn. I have been told that a foreclosure and credit can affect her eligibility for a spot in a care home. We live in Texas and have heard of housing authority homes that provide low cost assistance, but found no useful info on their website.

We need help just finding options for her and knowing where to turn. Any advice appreciated!

Does your mother have any type of medical insurance, medicaid, or medicare? If she does you can call the insurance company/medicaid/medicare and they can provide you with a list of eligible facilities.

Does your mom have long term care (LTC) insurance policy, if she have one, then you can contact the insurance provider so they can pay for the cost of her care. If not, you may opt to resort to government programs like medicare and medicaid, medicare however provides limited assistance, and with medicaid, they have a certain poverty criteria to be eligible. Or if your mom have an in-force life insurance, you may convert it to pay for her long term care expenses.

You can simply talk to her doctor as they have a list of reputable agencies and facilities that they can refer you to. Otherwise, you can check out these sources for other options:
