Gums swolen

Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but I wanna figure this out. Every once in a while the gum in between two teeth get a little swolen, I don't worry cus it has happened a lot, it goes away after a day or two. But a few days ago this happened, and it hasn't gone away. Note I have braces and a very bad habbit of not flossing cus its hard with braces. I decide to floss, and its hard getting under the gums, but when I do, I slide back and forth in case something was stuck in there, and I feel a catch and a sharp pinching pain, almost felt as if a nerve was hit, and there was barley any blood. Any ideas? I don't think its reach the point of calling a dentist or doctor.

pain is a signal that something is wrong. I would call the orthodontist or ask at my next apt

I think checking out /r/Dentistry would be a better bet for you. We get some training in oral pathology, but dentistry would be much more helpful.
