Link between operation on my testes and constant pain in my side?

Quick summary before I ask my question:

I had a testicular hydrocele in my right teste, and had it operated to remove the fluid about two years ago. Although they were certainly successful in dealing with the hydrocele, they seem to have stitched me up a little tight and as such my testicle sits almost front-to-back (imagine the top of my testicle pointing forwards instead of up), which is uncomfortable in itself.

Over the past six months or so, I have had a dull ache in my right side. It sits in my upper abdomen, and spreads into my ribcage, as well as down to my crotch and into my upper right thigh. It seems to follow nerves, if that makes any sense. My question is whether there is possibly a link between my uncomfortable testicle and the other pain? I have had an appointment with the doctor, and he has noted that nothing feels wrong with any of the affected areas, and I am due for a scan of my side soon.

Thank you for any responses!

Edit: forgot to add I am a 22 year old male (obviously!) from the UK. Thanks
