Yellow diarrhea, cramps, nausea. (No vomiting)

Thank you in advance for any help with this!

Okay, so my boyfriend came home last week sick with diarrhea, nausea, cramps, fever, aches, and chills. We chalked it up to the stomach flu. However, now I have yellow diarrhea (he said he did, too), stomach cramps, and extreme fatigue. We both have not been able to eat much (yesterday I had a small bowl of pudding and half a sandwich). I have not had fever, chills, or aches. However, this has been going on for about 5 days now and I'm not exactly sure if what we got was actually Gastroenteritis.

Any advice would be wonderful. If this doesn't go away by Wednesday I need to see a Dr., but I'd like to know how to treat it now.

That's strange. Literally the only things I can think of is you somehow both picked up an unknown virus, or extreme stress from college and work. If this continues I recommend you see a doctor.

No, you're right. Vomiting is the first thing that happens when you get food poisoning, so it must not be that. Are you dizzy?

We were the first night we got it. He got it a few days before me, though. so, that leads me to believe it's a virus and not an uncooked food situation. What would make us dizzy like that?

Interesting... Obviously there's hundreds of things that have a symptom of dizziness, so I can't really tell you right now. What do you remember doing before you guys started feeling like this?

Nothing. He was working and I just started the new semester by the time I got it. I guess he could have brought it home from work, but as far as he knows, noone else at work he's it.

I think it's a virus. Our job and school have not been more stressful than usual. Thank you for your help. We will if this doesn't subside by Wednesday.

Only thing I could think of is food poisoning. Did you two eat at a restaurant together recently?

We considered that, but neither of us have thrown up. Also, it's not uncontrollable diarrhea, it's just a lot, ha ha. I cook a lot at home (chicken, fish, hamburger meat) so it could have been from home. :(
