When to pop a grease burn blister?

Tuesday I accidentally poured hot bacon grease down my leg at work. It got caught around the top of my shoe giving me severe 2nd degree burns around my ankle. I have 3 blister, and the largest is about 1.5 inches by .5 inches and is under the Fibula. I can't wear shoes until the blisters pop, making me unable to work. How long after the initial burn should I wait to pop and drain the blister myself? I can provide a picture if needed.

[Here it is.](http://i.imgur.com/Ry9lIqu.png) It swelled slightly since the picture. Moisture seems to make the blisters larger (Which makes sense). Should I pop this?

Not as bad as I expected. Pop that over the sink if you can, then ice it immediately.
